Employee Inventions

Where domestic filing has been completed, an invention may proceed to Foreign Filing as necessary. Foreign Filing may be conducted through one of the following methods:
  • 1ITVC Funding

Foreign Funding Review is conducted; and
filing costs are supported by KAIST using its central administrative budget based on the review results (grades).
* Applications are accepted only where eligibility requirements for Foreign Funding Review are satisfied.

  • 2Lab Funding

Foreign Funding Review is not conducted; and
Foreign Filing is carried out using research funds secured by the inventor's laboratory.
